Gibraltar Race Pra.Ri.Pra

The 2022 edition is reconfirmed as a real success

12 stages, 77 riders, 4 European countries explored, 5.244km total and pure passion for 100% adventuring: not only ingredients of an excellent recipe, but also representative numbers of an edition that finally re-begins to breathe fully on the international level.

Stages

Czech Republic, Poland, Lithuania and Latvia are the 4 countries where the pilots went on stage: routes that unfolded through a magnificent geography, thanks to the incredible variety and charm that only these territories are capable of offering and the wise study of the journeys that the organization manages to achieve every time.
The novelty of this edition was the loop development of the entire track: a choice that was very well accepted and appreciated by both participants and professionals, who were able to count on a “zero bivouac” in which to leave bulky vehicles and objects not needed during the race.

The Adventure Challenge formula: the guarantee of “peppery” Moto Touring

Moto Raid Experience offers in its events the opportunity to participate in the highly appreciated mode of the Adventure Challenge, by joining both a general classification and a class  one based on the bike with which you take part in the event.

The routes of each daily stage are made up of road and off-road transfers and segments of special stages exclusively off-road; all the routes involved are open to the public transit. The special stages, unlike the transfers, are made up of a certain number of waypoints: the rider’s ability is to identify the correct road to be able to pass in each of these, taking care to do it in sequence, as each waypoint is numbered. There is a minimum and a maximum travel time on each route to ensure compliance with speed limits and safety.
To ensure the correct passage to each waypoint and relative travel times, each pilot is equipped with a tracker (in addition to the real-time position one) which is able to detect their position with an excellent precision: it will then be taken care of by the Organization who collect the trackers at the end of each day to draw up rankings.
The winner is whoever collects the least number of penalty points during the race days: the penalty points are obtained by not respecting the individually assigned travel times, both in terms of advance or delay, or by skipping one or more waypoints, or by not respecting the speed limits imposed.

What class are you in?

Another novelty of the 2022 edition is the introduction of some new classes instead of the existing ones.
In this case, the classes of the Pra.Ri.Pra. edition are five:

  • class 21, including all motorcycles with multi-cylinder engine and 21” front wheel;
  • class 19, including all motorcycles with multi-cylinder engine and 19” front wheel;
  • SC class, including all single-cylinder motorcycles;
  • Women Category;
  • Team Category.
